Raymond Bordovsky started out in Yoakum working for a local painting contractor. They worked in several nearby towns such as Edna, Shiner and Moulton.  Raymond decided to go on his own when jobs for the contractor slowed down.  He bought some ladders and tools and his first big job was tape and floating and painting a brand new house!  Word spread as usual in a small town and he aquired more and more work. He had various help over the years but for many years he worked by HIMSELF (+ his old trusty polka playing radio!)  Raymond Jr. and John started helping him when he had too much work.  Later, Randy helped him after school since he was too young to get a job in town.  By the time Randy started working full time with Raymond (around 1990), Raymond Jr. went off to Austin to start his own painting business there.  John moved out of town also to do other things.

Randy continued working with his dad until he retired.  His brother, John, moved back to his hometown and the two brothers worked together for nearly 10 yrs.  And so, Randy kept the family business going into the 2000's.  Randy got married in 2010 to Angela. She has helped him in the business color matching, advising on décor and overall adding her own style.

In 2013, Bordovsky Painting went from a Sole Proprietorship to a  LLC and became a fully bonded and insured company.

In 2014, we opened our office in Yoakum at 611 N. South St.  We show our potential customers textures, different paint techniques, paint samples and a place to discuss the work they want done.  We also have our furniture restoration shop in the back.  Finally, we sell antique furniture throughout the office.
